Privacy Policy & Security Statement

We like to keep things simple at O’Brien. We don’t “mine” our guests’ data and aim to collect only what’s necessary to maximizing the user experience. Security and ethical use of personal information is important to building trust with our customers – and with that – we follow the policy below regarding your privacy when interacting with O’Brien.

What Information Do You Collect?

Outside of cookies we’ll only collect what you voluntarily provide us. For example, you may provide your name and email to sign up for our newsletter, to submit a testimonial, or to send us a personal note. From time to time, we host contests and release surveys that may ask for personal details; however, we’ll only ask for what’s absolutely necessary (we keep it easy).

What was that about cookies again? While we love delicious baked treats at O’Brien, we also collect internet “cookies” that tell us about your visit to our site. Cookie data helps us customize your experience - and ultimately – save you time when reconnecting with us. For example, cookies help to store your search history so you can better locate your favorite products and categories. Cookies also help you “auto-fill” general information when placing an order or signing up for a new offer.

If you found us through a Google, Facebook, or another 3rd party site, a cookie will be created to tell us what website was used to find us. Generally, this helps us with our advertising efforts and assures we’re sharing our awesomeness in the right places = )

Note - Cookies are stored on your computer, so once you leave our site we have no access to your personal cookie data. We do, however, collect cookies in aggregate to help us understand how guests navigate through our website (among other nerdy things).

How Is It Used?

We’re not looking to get too fancy. Information you share with O’Brien could, for example, be used to:

  • Confirm a sign-up form
  • Reply to a question or quote request
  • Accurately fulfill an order

Information collected is used to personalize your website experience, process transactions, and generally keep in touch. Everything is voluntary, so if you signed up for email specials one day and reach your fill of great deals, just let us know and we’ll make sure you’re taken off the list.

Note – We will not share your information with anyone outside O’Brien. We want you to feel safe and comfortable when working with us (we think it’s tacky to sell our guests personal information).

What About Security / Storage of Personal Information?

All personal information (name, mailing address, phone number, and credit card information) is encrypted and transmitted in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for the green lock icon in your browser’s address bar (by “https”). Sensitive information is only used for billing purposes and to fulfill orders.

O’Brien does NOT share your personal information with third party vendors. At no time will we release your information and all transactions are performed through a trusted and secure payment processor. We do not store credit card information on our servers to maximize our guests’ security.

Final Thoughts

So, not too bad, right? We want to keep life easy for our guests and will only collect / use the information necessary to do so. If you ever have questions or would like to learn more, please feel free to contact us anytime – we’re here to help.
